ACQUIRING AN ARTWORK
Tax Benefits & Acquisition
Several options make it possible to acquire an artwork under the best conditions, for individuals and businesses alike.
Tax Deduction
Are you a business owner or company director? You can deduct the artwork’s purchase price over 5 years, at 20% per year. The artwork will therefore have cost your company nothing, and at the end of the term you become its owner.
Example — for a €10,000 artwork, you benefit from a €2,000 tax exemption per year for 5 years.
Payment Options
Cash Payment — credit card (Visa or Amex, deferred payment), cheque, or cash (€1,000 maximum).
4× Interest-Free — by credit card, total amount debited in 4 interest-free instalments.
Example — for a €8,000 piece, pay over 4 months, i.e. €2,000 per month.
Leasing
You can lease the purchase of an artwork. One condition only: the buyer must be a legal entity (a company director). From 18 to 48 monthly instalments, with a 3% residual value at the end. The artwork then belongs to you privately.
Example — for a €15,000 piece over 36 monthly instalments, that is €555 per month, with a residual value of €500 excl. VAT.
Endowment Fund
On behalf of your company, make a donation to the “L’Art fait Société” Endowment Fund and benefit from a 60 to 66% reduction on the donation through tax exemption, membership of the Ambassadors’ club, and opportunities to acquire artworks at negotiated prices.
